This cake was probably the most fun i ever had making a cake for someone! It was for a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints that was serving in my home town. It was ordered by his girlfriend who lives in Florida!

The cake itself was delicious i'm sure. It was a chocolate cake filled with chopped strawberries and Nutella (his favorite dessert)!! I frosted it with Nutella chocolate buttercream and wrote in strawberry icing.

But not only was it fun to make.. The delivery was even better! He had no idea that he was getting a cake, so the look on his face when i got to deliver it was priceless. He was so surprised and happy.

This cake was done for a missionary farewell. Elder Lichuk went to the Tulsa Oklahoma mission and for the party before he left he got this cake!

It is a strawberry cake covered in black marshmallow fondant and decorated in white fondant letters. It was very simple, but very fun! He loved it, so did his family! I'm glad to help with such a fun event... especially for such a great friend!

The Twins!

This is the cake that i did for my Aunt Cathrynn's Baby shower. She is having twins, one girl and one boy! :) I had so much fun making this cake. The cake itself is a one layer cake iced in buttercream and decorated with marshmallow fondant strips. The palm tree with coconuts and the monkey family is hand sculpted out of fondant as well.

It was the hit of the shower. The children especially loved the monkeys.

My cousin Emery wanted the whole palm tree for himself. The other kids got to share the monkeys! I'm glad that everyone loved it so much!

Reunion

This cake was made for a class reunion. The school colors are purple and yellow. So I did purple rose buds on each slice of cake. This sheet cake serves 54 people and is great for parties, weddings, reunions, or other occasion. Roses can be customized with colors, or we can do other decorations on the top of each slice of cake.

Here is a close up of the individual rose buds. These are my favorite to do. :)

This cake may seem a bit wild, but it is what the bride wanted. She was having a bright wedding and needed a bright cake. It was frosted with colored buttercream icing and complemented with brightly colored ribbon.

I guess this just shows that wedding cakes can be whatever you want them to be.. no matter how wild and crazy.

This cake was done for a surprise beach themed birthday party. It was a very large cake, but can be done smaller. The cake was decorated to look like the sand on the beach and the water in the ocean, and the sand was then sprinkled with crushed toffee bars.

After delivery they added paper umbrellas and pink flamingos.

So i did this cake for my former roommate. Her colors were light pink and chocolate brown, and she wanted something really simple.

Here is the cake that I did for my old roommate Allison. She wanted something with a simple country feel. She also really liked the lattice type basketweave. Her colors were red, yellow, and blue, so i incorporated them into the flowers on the cake. I also used raffia in the design to help add to the simple country feel.

The cake was very beautiful yet quite simple. It ended up being a beautiful addition to the wedding reception.

These sheet cakes are full size sheet cakes, meaning that they serve 100 people per cake. They are very large. However, they are fun to decorate in any way. :) I did two cakes just like this one for graduation.

This type of cake can be personalized with colors, shapes, or pictures. You can also separate it into individual pieces with a rose bud on each piece.

Chocolate Chess Set

I know that this is not a cake, although i wanted to share it as something that could possibly be done! I made this Solid Chocolate Chess Set for a business marketing Venture that was done at the college. This would be a great gift to give to someone who is an avid chess enthusiast or someone who just likes chocolate!

There are many options of what you can do with chocolate. Keep this in mind when you are trying to get something for that special someone who is hard to buy for!

Candy Box

This cake was made as a candy box. Covered in fondant and decorated with a handmade fondant bow and chocolate dipped strawberries, this Brown and Pink themed box made entirely out of cake was a hit. Although you may not want a cake box for your occasion, this shows that there are many options for creating custom cakes.

The Cake was also filled with an assortment of handmade candies. The Candy was also made to fit with the brown and pink theme.

Plate Pattern

This Cake was done for the 2008 Sugar Art Cake Show at the Eastern Idaho State Fair. The theme i had to follow when designing the cake was the pattern off a plate. I chose this plate because it was unique, beautiful, and interesting. The cake i designed and created is a 14-10-6 inch square seperated by 7 1/2 inch black bamboo pillars. The cakes are placed on Black mirrors and covered in fondant. The design on the side (which was taken from the plate) is piped with royal icing and then hand painted in black. The red sugar flowers that adorn the cake were hand made and represent the red flowers from the plate. It was a fun cake to make.

I did this cake for a friend of mine. She just wanted a simple, elegant cake. It is white cake with Cream cheese filling, and decorator icing. The accents are sage green and lavender satin ribbon, and small lavender flowers. I like how it is just simple. This cake serves 150 not including the top layer.

So this cake was also for the special cake decorating contest at the State Fair. This cake is a replica of one of my favorite games. It is made of color flow icing, which is a thinned down royal icing, which dries hard. The houses, dice and game pieces are made of hand modeled gumpaste.

Fun cakes are fun to make. It is always good to do something different and exciting. I love to be creative, especially when it comes to my cakes.

Something Borrowed, Something Blue

This cake was done for a Special cake decorating contest at the Eastern Idaho State Fair. The theme for the cake was "Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue, and a sixpence in her shoe."

The design is an original design by me, and was fun to put together. The flowers on the cake are handmade out of gumpaste, which is a sugar based modeling compound which dries hard, making the decorations edible. The round blue medialions are Cameos, and are dusted with edible chalk.

I really enjoyed making this cake, it was alot of work, but it was worth it. The experience was worth it. I love to design special cakes for people.

This cake is one i did for one of my good friends. Her colors were sage green and white, and she really wanted this particular design. It is a painted piping design. It is really beautiful and can be done on both buttercream and fondant cakes. The closeup of the piping design shows better!

This is one cake design that is classic and beautifully simple. It goes well with lots of different wedding styles.

I have recently updated my price costing for cakes. I am now charging for cakes based on serving size.

The prices for cakes are as follows:

Regular Icing (buttercream and decorator icing):
$2 per serving for basic cake
$2.50 per serving for dramatically decorated cake

Rolled Fondant cakes:
$3.00 for basic cake
$3.50 for dramatically decorated fondant cake

Additional decorations are added to price on a cost by cost basis. This includes silk flowers, sugar flowers, ribbon, cake toppers, and more.
